APSC Recruitment 2023: Assam Public Service Commission has issued an official notification regarding the Main Examination of the Combined Competitive Examination, 2022 for the candidates who have been shortlisted on the basis of the Preliminary Examination for recruitment to the various services/posts. The candidates who are eligible as per the official notification of the commission will be able to submit their online applications on the official web portal within the last date of application.

Required Qualification: The candidates who have appeared in the APSC CCE (Prelims) Exam, 2022 and were shortlisted for the APSC CCE (Main) Exam, 2022 will be eligible to submit online applications for the exam.

Examination Fee of APSC CCE Exam

APSC Mains Syllabus

The main exam of APSC Recruitment 2023 consists of 8 papers. Two of them are of qualifying nature. The syllabus for the APSC Mains exam is given below:

Essay– In this, applicants have to write an essay on the given topic in a descriptive form in the same language they have selected while filling out the application form.

General Studies Paper 1- Indian Heritage, History, Society, and Culture, Geography of India and the world

Indian culture (literature, art forms, and architecture), history of modern India, post-independence reorganization and consolidation of India, the role of women, issues related to population, features of world and India’s geography, freedom struggle of India, globalization, urbanization, developmental issues, social empowerment poverty, and natural resources.

General Studies Paper 2- Social Justice and International Relations, Indian Governance, Indian Constitution

Union responsibility and functions, state legislatures and parliament, separation of power and dispute redressal mechanism, people’s act representation, organization and functioning of government judiciaries and departments, government policies and their implementation, welfare schemes for poor people, health and education development, development industry, civil services role in democracy, international institutes, India’s relation with neighboring countries, organizations and forums, policies and politics of developed countries.

General Studies Paper 3- Technology, Biodiversity, Environment, Economic Development, Disaster Management, and Security

Indian economy, government budgeting, irrigation, and farming methods, major crop cropping patterns, land reforms in India, food processing in India, liberalization effect on the economy, investment models, infrastructure: roads, railways, airports, ports, etc., science and technological adaptation, environmental issues, awareness of IT field and space, disaster management, computer, biotechnology, security forces, and agencies.

General Studies Paper 4- Ethics, Aptitude, and Integrity

Ethics and human interface, human values, attitude- content, structure, functions, moral and political attitudes, social persuasion and influence, aptitude and foundational values for civil service, objectivity, empathy, compassion and tolerance for poorer section, public and civil services, integrity and non-partisanship, emotional intelligence- concepts and their utilities in civil services, charters, work culture, probity in governance, and challenge of corruption.

General Studies for Paper 5- History, Culture, Geography, Heritage, Politics, Social Justice, Biodiversity, Environment, Security, International Remedies, Security, Disaster Management of Assam.

  • History, culture, literature, tradition & heritage of Assam, dynasties, administrative and revenue system, dances, festivals, religious movement, leading personalities, arts, painting, freedom movement, political awakening and integration, leading personalities.

APSC Application Form 2023

  • Step 1: Visit the official web page of APSC – apsc.gov.in.
  • Step 2: On the home page, click the – ‘Online recruitment portal’.
  • Step 3: Then, scroll down to the bottom page and click on register here to begin the registration process.
  • Step 4: Enter your name, phone number, email address, and password and click on Generate OTP.
  • Step 5: Enter the OTP that you received on the entered mobile number, solve the captcha and click the register button.
  • Step 6: After successful registration, log in on the portal by using your registered email id or phone number and password.
  • Step 7: After logging in, find the application form link for the post of APSC and click on apply now.
  • Step 8: Fill up the mandatory fields and upload the required documents.
  • Step 9: After submitting all the details, pay the application fees and submit your application form.
