UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited online application for various posts in the Employment News (22-28) July 2023. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for these posts on or before August 10, 2023.

Under the recruitment drive, the Commission is to recruit various posts in the different ministries including the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Defence (Navy), Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Ministry of Mines and others.
Candidates having certain educational qualification including Master/Graduate with additional eligibility have golden chance to get the opportunity to work in Union Ministries.

Steps to Apply for UPSC Recruitment 2023

Step 1: Visit the official website of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) at https://www.upsc.gov.in/

Step 2: On the homepage search and click on “UPSC Recruitment 2023 Apply Online”.

Step 3: Click on the new registration and fill out your personal details and valid email id.

Step 4: After the registration, candidates can log in using their login credentials provided at the time of registration.

Step 5: Fill out the application form carefully.

Step 6: Upload all the required documents as per the mentioned parameters in the notification.

Step 7: Click on the “Preview” tab to cross-verify all the information provided by the candidate.

Step 8: Pay the required application fees if applicable and click on the submit button.

Step 9: Download and take a printout of the UPSC Application Form for future reference.

UPSC Prelims Syllabus 2023

The first is the Preliminary examination which consists of two general studies papers also known as the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT). Check the IAS prelims syllabus here,

  • Paper 2- Logical Reasoning, Mental Ability, Decision Making, Problem Solving

Scientific Officer (Chemical) (A) EDUCATIONAL: Master Degree in
Chemistry or Microbiology or Degree in Chemical Technology or Degree in Chemical
Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
(B) EXPERIENCE: One year experience in an analytical or Chemical Testing Laboratory or Research & Development work or analysis of ores, Minerals, metals or Oil & Fuel and various Organic and Inorganic products or paint or polymer materials
Deputy Architect EDUCATIONAL: (i) Possessing Degree in Architecture of recognized University or Institution.
(ii) Be registered as Architect with the Council of Architecture under Architect Act 1972(20 of 1972)
Scientist ‘B’ (Ballistics) (A) EDUCATIONAL: Masters degree in Physics or Mathematics or
Applied Mathematics or Forensic Science with Physics or Mathematics as one of the subjects during all the three years of Bachelor of Science from a recognised University or Institute.
(B) EXPERIENCE: Three years experience of analytical methods and research therein in the field of Ballistics from a government recognised organization or institution.
Scientist ‘B’ (Documents) (A) EDUCATIONAL: Master Degree in Chemistry or Physics or Forensic Science with Chemistry or Physics as one of the subjects during all the three years of Bachelor of Science from a recognised University or institute.
(B) EXPERIENCE: Three years experience of analytical methods and research therein in the field of Documents Examination from a government recognised organization or institute
Junior Scientific Officer (Toxicology) (A) EDUCATIONAL: Masters Degree in Chemistry or Associateship diploma of the Institution of Chemist by examination* or
Biochemistry or Pharmacology or Pharmacy or Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subjects during all the three years of Bachelors of Science level from a recognized University.
Note: * Associateship diploma of the Institution of Chemist by examination qualification will be applicable only for the departmental scientists available on the date of notification of the RR.(amendment).
(B) EXPERIENCE: Three years experience in research and analytical work in the field of Toxicology in any Central and State Organization or recognized institute or
university or forensic Science laboratories under Central Government and State Government.
Assistant Director of Mines Safety (Occupational Health) Grade-I EDUCATIONAL: (i) A recognized Medical Qualification included in the
First or the Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of Educational Qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule fulfill the conditions stipulated in Section 13 of the said Act.
(ii) A recognized Post Graduate Degree in Community Medicine with two years’ experience in the field of Occupational Health, preferably in factories or mines OR
A recognized Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Health or Occupational Health or Public Health with three years’ experience in the field of Occupational Health, preferably in factories or mines.
Director General (A) EDUCATIONAL: Master of Science in Geological Science or Master of Science (Technology) Geology or Master of Science in Geology or Integrated Master of Science in Applied Geology or Master of Technology (Geo-Exploration) or Master of Technology (Engineering Geology) or Master of Science (Marine Geology) or Master of Science in Earth Science and Resource Management or Master of
